.LI is the ccTLD for Liechtenstein, and is managed by the SWITCH registry.

.LI domains are processed during EST business hours, please allow up to 3 days for orders to complete.

All modifications to the domain, such as DNS or contact changes must be confirmed by the registrant. Confirmation email is sent from registry which eneds to be confirmed.

Renewal Requirements

.LI domains must be renewed a minimum of 45 days prior to the last day of the month of expiary, for example if the domain expires on 14th October it must be renewed before 15th September; otherwise they will be deleted and XDnet would no longer be able to manage the domain. For a registrant to then move it back they would be required to organise a transfer request to our registrar.

The registry will also auto-renew the domain and invoice the registrant directly for the renewal, the registrant is liable for paying this renewal fee to SWITCH (the .LI registry).

This is why it is highly recommended that .LI domains are renewed as soon as possible. You should also allow up to 3 business days for renewal order to complete.

If you do not want to renew a .LI domain you must ensure it is explicitly cancelled at least 45 days before expiary to avoid renewal fees.
